Well, with 35 STR and 35 DEX, plus Ring of Blades +2 you can deal like 400 damage; add to that the fact that attacking barehanded barely wastes stamina.

 

It's not good for a group of enemies, but definitively worth a try for 1 vs 1.

That's pretty damn good for just hands. Some street fighter shit going on in Dark Souls.

In terms of length I was disappointed for the price too. I beat it in a few hours but the bosses were excellent along with some of the NPCs like Gough. That manus fight pissed me off so hard on NG+ though.

And no, this is not like Artorias of the Abyss, which took almost a year of fan feedback claiming for DLC. This is capitalizing on a successful game. A shame, really :(


I think Namco has a lot to do with this. They're trying to milk the piss out of it before From perhaps moves on to their Sony partnership with Beast Souls. Either way more Souls is welcome, but let them do their magic. Stop the rushing.

I agree.

It's not like From Software is going to let the Dark Souls trademark to die. I'm positively sure there's room for Project Beast and Dark Souls 3 in the future, but Namco only wants to focus on mid-term profits, which means milking their franchises (not in a Capcom way, but milking still)

The only thing I liked about it was the Knight fight, forget his name.  The entry boss was crap and the dragon a massive waste of time since no worthwhile reward, gain or progress from it.

I bought the PTD Edition for £10, so I cannot complain on the price of anything.

Artorias is the guy. He became one of my favorite fights in Souls history. Did you know his left arm was actually broken and he didn't have his shield with him? Imagine if he wasn't so damaged. I don't know how he wasn't the leader of the 4 knights of Gwyn.

Edit: You gotta admit the dragon was bad ass though.

Haven't finished even half the game yet, but so far I'm honestly enjoying it more than Dark Souls 1. Which I did not expect at all. Will probably buy the DLC eventually.
