I have an Xbox one that unfortunately has had a few problems along the way in it's such short lifespan to this stage. Anyway I' got the machine on launch night and i've had a few issues along the way, which have been very frustrating. First the 99% install where I had to do the hard reset on microsoft supports advice. Then the bigger problem came along where my machine wouldn't read a disc when I placed it in the drive. Usually after a few attempts i'd get it working and wouldn't have  a problem untill the next time after it had been shut down. Now just a few days ago i called up xbox support again and explained the problem and the person on the other end had me put disc after disc in and treated me kinda like some idiot and wanted all the codes (which was fair enough) but the problem was i was on the phone for about an hour with her getting me to try blurays, games, dvd's etc ...and i was getting frustrated and said look just face it the drive has a problem. She agreed and said she'd send me some lable thing so i can send it back to them then they'd replace it etc... and I was thinking far out how long i gotta wait when it's their shit they sold me playing up. Was thinking damn you microsoft for selling me this heap of shit, I h8 u. I then asked her if i could just take it to store and get a replacement and she said no has to be done this way etc.... Anyway next day i decided to ring my local Eb games and said my problem etc ...n he says bring it down get replacement straight away. I was thinking cool apart from all the installs again etc....

Then came the wow factor. I came home with 3 games for free for my trouble with the machine. ....Titanfall- digital key, Forza 5- digital key and watch dogs full retail copy... I was so happy then and all my frustration just disappeared. They sure know what to do with a frustrated gamer ....

so i say to anyone with a problem child like i had , get it back to where you got it before the 12 months expire and you never know what kinda loot you may end up with. Oh and of course I was given a brand new replacement xbox too...

That sucks. Hopefully, the new one actually works.

yeah, little known fact for everybody out there. Retailers can replace products still under manufacturers warranty. sometimes you may need to coax the employees a little bit or talk to a manager (because they want to sell you on their replacement plans), but every retailer has systems in place to exchange items under manufacturers warranty...

Everything going fine so far ..just a small pain reinstalling everything ...ie ryse and dead rising massive downloads plus of course fifa digital, killer instinct the free games with gold and titanfall along with forza 5 ...oh well can't complain I was looked after afterall
