Hi,

I'm curious and want to see how everyone thinks about two of the modes in a racer which are Single player and Battle. My main reason is that I think every racer should be combination of Single Player content, Local/online Multiplayar races and Battle mode so it can be experienced differntly.  But, MK8 failed two of these three which is a really big dissapointment for me beacsue these two are what I (hopefully many) love more than those races. I've played Single player content of CTR so much and loved it. And still  i've been playing with my friends the battle mode of the CTR in PS2 and PC regularly and we love the handling which is mainly based on our skills to win these battles. I'm expecting a next gen kart racer which has handlling like CTR so far but i did not get one. I wanted MK8 to have and change my mind to buy Wii U but its failed.

Sonic All stars racing had great single player content but i did not like the handling of battle mode in this but its a good one. Hoping for Crash reboot and new CTR game for PS4 in future. So, what do you think about MK8 lacking these Single player and battle mode? Give me your honest vote.

PS: No offence, i still think MK8 is a good game but not perfect/amazing game overall and not kind of the game i expected.

Summary

I think your cons aren't cons besides the battle mode. Single player doesn't matter in multiplayer games, and Mario Kart TV isn't part of the game. That's like docking of points from Watch_Dogs because you don't like the phone app. I give it a 9, but if it gets DLC cups, and they're just as good, it'll be a 10. It does what it's supposed to do, and I never cared about Battle Mode. I only ever liked the one in Diddy Kong Racing, anyway.

I just placed that reivew because of their cons of Single player and battle mode. These two are important for me and my friends. We play a lot (still we play this regularly when we meet in PS2 and in PC through online via PCSX2) of Battle in CTR and winning these battles are purely skills because of the handling, power ups and battle areas used in CTR. We had many bets and fun in battle mode of CTR and love this. Hoping Sony to reboot crash and brigh back another CTR in PS4/Vita.

What's with all the MK8 bashing lately?

One might think there are flaws in this game.

So you think battle and Single player modes are not needed for racer? I used MK8 because it lacked these two things and wanted to know how everyone thinks about this as they are praising the game without these modes content.

No worries, I'm with you. As is everyone else with half a brain. I don't think anyone sane is making the claim that MK8 didn't skimp out in these departments

I am loving the single player in MK8. But that's probably because I'm bad lol.
