Well this certainly goes against the status quo.....mainly PS fans that value its pretend exclusivity and would elevate this game as high as possible.

Yeah I agree. The PS fans are saying its not boring and the MS fans are saying it looks very boring;

But even neutral people are saying in previews that the game is boring. The Kotaku one comes to mind

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Game looks great to me. It looks like a mix between Mass Effect and Border lands two games I really really like so that's always a bonus.

I guess will just have to wait and see. Complaints like "no vehicles or small maps" I can't take seriously right now. The game doesn't come out for a while and so everything is just a preview. Lets wait and see how the full version turns out.

Cant judge an rpg from a small play test, just wait, it's bungie.

It looks like Borderlands.

Borderlands is an absolute blast.

This game supposedly looks boring?

That makes zero sense.

The game looks fun. It looks like a whole lot of fun, to be honest. It certainly isn't revolutionary, though, which is fine by me. I'm getting a bit sick of games getting attacked because they're not revolutionary. I just want a fun game, I don't give a rat's ass if it "evolves the genre" or not.

Seriously. I don't undesrtand why all of a sudden people are looking for every single game to transform the genre. It's getting annoying. The most annoying thing really is they compare the games to other great games and some how it's bad because it's already been done. How much has GTA changed? Not much and yet it just sold an extrodinary amount with GTA V. At the end of the day a good game is a good game and it doesn't matter how many times it's been done.

I said at its reveal it didnt grab me as wow. Titanfall stole its hype for me. Also some devs went to 343 studios to continue halo. And marty has gone to. Its fast becoming not bungie we knew at all.

You know whats underwhelming, disappointing, boring, and unoriginal? The analysis in this and the many other threads on this site over the last several months. From all sides. I continue to be severely disappointed in the vgc community.

A persons opinion and we take it as fact. I wasn't hyped for Watch Dogs so i gameflyed it. Now i love the game. When i get to play Destiny, thats when ill see if its underwhelming.

about it looking like trash. your either extremely jaded and should quit video games entirely or desperate for attention.

also, to say there is unique except the MMO aspects is also disingenuous as that is a massive shift in gameplay we're never seen the likes of before except in journey.

Okay, what's this massive shift in gameplay we've never seen before? Cause honestly I've yet to see anything from this game. It looks boring, boring games = trash.

have you played journey?

Yes, are you refferring to the feature when people join your game?

If so, wow how revolutionary and innovative. Doesn't change the fact the gameplay looks exactly like Borderlands, as well as the art style, and it lacks any character or soul imo.

you could have said the same about online multiplayer when it was first introduced.  halo online plays no different from a halo lan party afterall...

the silent matchmaking system will break down the barrer between single and multiplayer. no more waiting in lobbies and watching (what feels) like houe long load times.  just pure gameplay.

and to the best of my knowlede boarderlands never let you shift between first and third person perspectives.

and i think the art looks amazing.

...but if you want to hate on everything that isn't entirely original i'll warn you,  you are going to be a sad person. there are no original ideas and the things you thought were original aren't.  you were just too inexperienced to see the prior arts.  if your that jaded just quit.

isn't silent matchmaking already in a 10 year old game aka World of warcraft?

Don't get me wrong, im very excited for destiny but thats because its Tabula Rasa on steriods

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I think Destiny looks boring, but it will, just like Borderlands find its audience as well. The only problem this game has, is the same, many other games had. Its the massive hype. So many games have fallen victim to it, the most recent examples being Titanfall, InFamous and Watch Dogs. All of them being solid games except of InFamous maybe which was kinda lame. But the hype they had generated was just not sustainable and they where setup to disappoint. And the very same thing is going to happen to Destiny.
