Forums - Sony - Sony announces Chinese PlayStation 4

Pursuing the Chinese market is meaningless. Yes, PS4 has the advantage thanks to the fact that you can play F2P games on it, which the Chinese will definitely like. However, China is an entirely different beast. The rampant piracy will not do any console any favors. Sony should have just focused on increasing sales in markets that they are strong in (and improving the PS4's situation in Japan...).

N64, GBA, DS, 3DS, and the Wii in Hong Kong.

Ohh yeah the iQue (the Chinese N64)...the control was the console itself...what a weird idea

That's the only console Nintendo released in China.

According to Wikipedia, Nintendo has released the iQue and the 3DS officially in China. I do remember them selling the Wii in Hong Kong as a testing market, but it didn't go so well.

iQue yes,  The 3DS and Wii no.  The IQue is a N64 made to prevent piracy.
