Suarez is a controversial figure and has a reputation of being a bad boy. He is an unpredictable, volatile player who can be a creative genius or lash out an opposition player physically or verbally. What will Suarez do next? Will he score a goal, two goals, a hat trick or bite/punch a player?

He should have been banned for at least a year.

Suarez ban is a witch hunt!

His lawyer said it was an accident. Suarez teeth collided with the player.I wouldn't blame him. I blame his teeth which are humongous and prone to accidents. Suarez is just a misunderstood human being.

Well a serial killer's lawyer will say his client never killed anyone...but yeah he has humongous teeths

It's obviously not an accident, unless we consider insanity as one.
Still, the punishment was WAY too extreme. Lots of players do violent stuff all the time and don't get as severe bans.
Sure, a punch, header or kick isn't a BITE, but 4 MONTHS without being able to do ANYTHING related to his job is absurd.
It's even worse when you think this is going to affect Liverpool way more than it affects Uruguay.

Suarez has a history of being a violent player, the 4 months ban probably wasn't because of this alone, but a combination of all of his actions...he got a 5 match ban when he bite the first time iirc.

But he is not being (Or should not be) punished for what he did previously. Fifa is certainly doing it to please the press... I hope the appeals gets approve and so he bounce back soon...

Suarez ban was very harsh for a minor incident. Suarez only took a small bite out of Italy! He bit off a bit more than he can chew. Third time unlucky.

Suarez saved Uruguay this World Cup, it proved to rattle Italy and Uruguay scored from the corner. Suarez  has bitten three players in total and he could star in Jaws 3 and Silence of the Lambs remakes. Suarez is a cult hero. Suarez bites players, scores brilliant goals, deliberate hand ball to save team when needed. Suarez can do it all.

Dress as Suarez for Halloween costume. Uruguay or Liverpool shirt - check. Fangs- check. Fake blood- check

Maybe the media did had some influence over the FIFA's decision, but I still think (for the first time ever) they made the right call...

I also highly doubt the appeal will do something, when FIFA makes up his mind, they rarely change it.
