Do you have a source on that? Because I legit only found one site saying that it should have been red. On the Soccer section of Reddit everyone thinks that a yellow card was the correct call.

70% of the poll (however many people that is) say he should have been off.

He was lucky to stay on.

Lucky to escape a red card.

I could go on and find more, but I wont. The football world is split on it though.

Yeah, a lot are saying that he's lucky because it's true it could have been a red card. Although few sources say that he should have been sent off. It's not a black and white call to make. I'd say less than 50% of refs would have given a red for that. Anyway that call isn't as outrageous as you and Kowen are making it out to be. The only outrageous call in my opinion was the penalty awarded to Fred.

day 2 predictions:

Mexico  3 - 1  Cameroon
Spain  0 - 2  Netherlands
Chile  2 - 0  Australia

Whether you liked that opening match or not you have to agree that it was beautiful listening to Brazil sing their national anthem even after it was cut short. Gave me chills 😊

@Dutch - do you really believe in your team that much? I mean, you had a very good team 4 years ago, but two years ago in Poland you were the worst team of the tournament. Are you gonna field a team this time, or 11 individuals again? Are they bickering and fighting each other already?

I'm sceptical as a Dutch person. It's better than two years ago that's for sure, back then everyone except the most stubborn supporters saw from miles away that we were going to lose three times and be done.

Now I'd say it should at least be possible to reach the second round if things go as planned and I haven't heard of any bickering in the group yet, but I don't see us winning against Spain today for sure.

So it's the dawn of the second day, well actually, it's way past noon for me, but anyway, today's the day my country will take the field. I don't see 'em winning though .

Spain 2 - 1 Netherlands
Chile 3 - 1 Australia

Mexico 2- 3 Cameroon
Spain 1 - 1 Dutch
Chile 2 - 0 Aussies

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Mexico vs. Cameroon 1-0
Spain vs. Netherlands 1-0
