basically the only way the USA doesnt go through is if Portugal wins by 5 goal difference and/or USA loses by like 5 goals... and neither is going to happen looking at how both teams have been playing so far (USA stronger than expected, Portugal a fucking embarassment)

USA still has a pretty big chance of being left out. If USA loses for a difference of more than 2 goals, or Ghana wins for a difference of more than 2 goals, USA is out. And based on Portugal performance this WC, Ghana can very well beat Portugal with more than 2 goals, and Germany is an extremely strong opponent, so losing to them can very well happen. 

Yeah I know. What irks me is that this is the reverse situation of the Germany - Portugal game. We were on top of the USA up until that moment and if the US had been reduced to 10 players, we'd probably had a shot at doing a decent amount of goals. 

It doesn't excuse our piss poor performance in the rest of the game, but it's these little things that really piss me off.

I am not one to speculate so far. From what I have seen the odds are in the US's favor. Many claim the US and GErmany will purposely tie. So I am saying nothing more than the odds are most strongly in the US's favor against Port. and Ghana.

Ugh I wanted to see Ronaldo and co go home early.

Yes, the odds are in favor of USA, but is not like Ghana has to do something ridiculous in order to advance; like I said, a difference of 2 goals will suffice Ghana (as long as USA loses their match). 

Portugal on the other hand is gone...unless they beat Ghana like 6-0
