Wait a second...if Germany beats USA 1-0 and Ghana beats Portugal 1-0  ...both USA and Ghana will have the EXACT same points right?

I think the USA would advance because they won against Ghana. But sometimes FIFA rules are different from UEFA rules.

I think the coin toss is still the absolute last resort. Assuming the above result happens and USA and Ghana drew their match, they will have to throw a coin, but the odds of that to happen are pretty small.
