A simple prediction I came up with after a whole day of studying maths for my upcoming exam. After seeing the declining sales rate of the PS4 (which is already about to go below Wii U levels) and taking a peek at the upcoming games for the Wii U (Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors)  I can't see how the PS4 is going to ever outsell the Wii U at the rate it's going.

Taking these things into account we can conclude that the gap between the PS4 and the Wii U is going to widen in the coming months in favor of the Wii U. Placing the Wii U 1.5M+ units above the PS4. Even if the PS4 outsells the Wii U for the rest of it's shelf life as it did this week (136 in favor of the PS4) it will take the PS4 too much time to beat the Wii U, so long in fact that the consoles will be both out of the market before it can happen.

That's what everyone says. But I think it's completely wrong. Super Mario 3D World was supossed to "save" the Wii U...

No. When the steady stream of PS4 exclusives come in it'll eventually overtake. This gen still has another 4/5 years left you realise? WiiU is only reacting to game bumps and even then it's not been very impressive.

If PS4 slumbers the same then perhaps, but going by how PS3 sells, I doubt it.

They'll have a far more positive impact than WiiU exclusives have had. Wait for Resident Evil, Final Fantasty, Metal Gear Solid ect.

Meh, In the end it'll be a empty victory (sales wise) for Nintendo as I'm sure Sony's focus is not Japan anymore.

PS3 10mil, did not exclude the system from receiving most of the 3rd exclusives and did not prevent Sony from releasing a slew of their own...

Hasn't this prediction been made before? Anyways, it looks like it will win, but the PS4 is also doing terribly because of software. I'm not saying it would do amazingly with a steady stream of software, but it wouldn't have declined as much as it has.
