Forums - Gaming - Microsoft is already thinking about the design of the next Xbox

I hope its not gonna be as huge as the X1... I seriously don't have enough space on my room to fit one within HDMI distance unless I move some of my other stuff... And no, I will not move my sex toys tyvm

Really weird article with lots of strange quotes.
It's like they're throwing themselves a pity party.

Would you like the Wii U size, or Game Cube size. Both are small in they're own way.

I would like the wiiU size although if their next console has a handle, I would applaud them!

They're thinking of how to integrate Kinect into the actual console itself, just watch.

It definitely won't look like Betamax anymore. They'll opt for a more modern DVD player look.
Progress!

Looking forward to the kinectless model with the hole in it^^

Well, what else would you expect the hardware team to be doing? Just sit and twiddle their thumbs for the next 5 years?

Hopefully they make a more nicer looking and significantly smaller console.

But then you'd have to have the console right under the tv...

I've thought about the idea of kinect being inside the unit before, but the negatives outweighed the positives.

More heat, bigger unit, money spent to design new model, additional coding to counteract vibration from the unit itself, new assembly line, having to put the unit in full sight, etc etc

This is actually standard for the R@D department, its all theory at this stage.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
