Forums - Gaming - If the Nintendo oracles knew that the Wii U would be a failure from the start, why are they upset about lack of 3rd party support...

for said Wii U?

For the purposes of this thread, Nintendo oracles are individuals who want to believe they have an omnipresense view on all things Nintendo.  They are the Sean Malstroms, John Lucases, Emily Rodgers and individuals on this site who shall remain nameless.

The Nintendo oracles shouted from on high that the Wii U will be a massive underachiever but 18 months in, a select few still hold a grudge against those companies who do not want to partake in said underachievement.  They write of media, print and web conspiracies, secret socities and 32mb of edram.  3rd parties have, over time, built their business to not rely on just one platform so continually looking to avoid the system makes sense.  Why waste money, time and resources supporting a platform when im sure these 3rd parties had the same forsight as the almighty Nintendo oracles?

And not turn this into a instant off topic situation, any mention of competitors systems (including handhelds) will be reported.

This isn't something new to the Wii-U, or even to the people that you mentioned.  Third parties and gaming media have been treating Nintendo consoles (and customers) as second class for decades.  The Wii was a massive 'overachiever' and it still got rather crappy support from both.  Nintendo fans have been upset about this situation long before these 'oracles' that you mentioned.

Oh, and I'd also like to mention the PS4 & Xbox One.  I'm not sure why you would want to,  but go ahead and report me.

Around the Network

While I'll assume you probably include me in there... I in fact thought Wii U would be more successful initially and thought it would garner 3rd party support.

It wasn't until EA's unprecedented partnership became realized in total abandonment followed by other 3rd parties along with post-launch dead sales, did I come around to Rol's truth.

Evidence there clearly shows one thing. 3rd parties do not want a strong Nintendo and many of them do their best to burn bridges and then use that as evidence to walk away from Nintendo.

Wii U is a quality system with a great controller and UI. Unfortunately 3rd parties and many more robust gamers only consider GPU performance in their consideration for support. But as it stands Wii U is the only one with a great number of amazing exclusives.

Too bad the press piled up so much negativity out gate. Same effect Xbone is now seeing. Long live the PS4 I guess. I know I'm sticking on Wii U / PC.
