XOne Kinect 135 80.84%

Wii U Gamepad 32 19.16%

Total:167

the difference is that the wiiu owners want more gamepad and the xbone owner want less kinect.

Being objective...

One can be removed and therefore doesn't seal its consoles fate in the longer term, the other cant and therefore does seal its consoles fate in the longer term. Thus the gamepad legacy is far, far worse as its continued inclusion renders the WiiU a probable failure forever. The One can continue without (or with for those that still want it)

But the poll here will have an obvious conclusion...

Thats actually a good point that I didnt consider. If not for the WiiU gamepad I would have probably brought one just for Mario Kart, but it actully puts me off wanting the console.

The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.

While I've never owned a Kinect, I can say that my roommates and I all love the gamepad. The dudebro COD player has even said it's the greatest gaming invention ever. An overstatement,of course, but it meant he was able to play ACIV while his wife watched HGTV. In fact, I spend more time using off-tv play than actually playing on the big screen since it's a bit more... 'private'. I'd just pop in my headphones and enjoy some DK. I don't understand why everyone bashes it so hard. It's surprisingly light and I've never had a problem holding and using it, and I have itty bitty baby hands.

I personally don't see much use in the Kinect outside of added convenience in issuing commands but I can't give a fair assessment since I've never used it.

i love gamepad. but not for gaming.
it is my home tablet, internet, netflix, share youtube video with tv, while i navigate to other sites i internet.
now im posting this using gamepad.

The Gamepad. Kinect has damaged the X1's future, but the Gamepad simply destroyed the WiiU's.

Kinect without a doubt

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

To me, i still have interest on the WiiU gamepad at least for its pad-play feature, just too bad non of WiiU exclusive games was able to get my interest to buy it at all...

As for Kinect... Sorry i don't play family casual games, so i voted Kinect...

Kinect 2.0:

No games that really utilize it.
Barely better than its predecessor.
Compromises the X1 architecture and performance.
Jacks up the price of the console overall.
Ruined the X1 UI.
Poor adoption destroyed MS's vision for the console.

Wii U Gamepad:

Jacks up the price of the console overall.
If it breaks, you can't go to a store and just replace it. Seriously, what the fuck Nintendo?
No games that really utilize it.
Nintendo had no real vision for this device and their console.

Winner of the worst legacy: Kinect 2.0

I think the gamepad was the worst. It was a big reason the Wii U has so far been a failure.

The kinect 2 was bad too though. It has also been a big reason for the X1's weak sales on many weeks. Also its predecessor was a big success and sold 25 million units and made MS lots of money, so this one's big fall in sales and popularity makes it a bigger failure. The device has also made people make claims that MS spies on people. Its not a crazy allegation though because its a MS product, and MS has been accused many times on sharing skype and email information with the NSA.

Has there really been that many people not wanting the gamepad in the wii u? I don't know that I have seen near the same amount of hate for the gamepad as I have for the kinect. Only problem with the gamepad is that it keeps the price of the wii u sku higher than it probably should, but at the same time, I don't think I would even want a wii u without the gamepad.
