All except for the Gears level of sales. No doubt SO will sell well, but not Gears well. Firstly because no matter how good it is it won't have the same level of appeal and secondly because Xb one is selling so badly that the install base and sales rate just won't be capable of giving it Gears-like legs.

All that would tend to encourage Insomniac to go multiplat for SO2, including PC and even Wii U. Spread the load and reduce the financial risk...unless you have a benefactor of course.

Could go the Mass Effect route. Released on PS4 as soon as nobody cares for it anymore.

Its nothing like either of these games.  The first game is funded entirely by Microsoft.  Whilst it is true that Insomniac retain rights to the OP, anyone that thinks MS wont have first refusal rights over any sequel at a minimum is kidding themselves!

I thought they (MS) were hailed as heroes for giving freedom to third party devs and letting them retain their IP's unlike the evil Sony who forced them to work on Sony IP's for over a decade.

IF thats true, then MS wouldnt have any right to refusal for a future sequel.

Personally I dont think there will even be a sequel because the first will flop and no-one will want to fund the second and insomniac wont have the cash to fund it themselves.

It's far too early to even consider this. All I know is it looks bloody marvellous and hope it does come to the PS4 at some point in the 'distant' future.

If they have enough ti fund it themself then yeah why not. What I am curious is could a sequel to "The Order 1886" com to Xbox? Who owns that IP?
