It seems that the Episodes that they are talking about in GTAIV are equal to San Andreas being part of GTA3.

So, I guess even I will be getting the 360 version. DAMN YOU TAKE-TWO!

it's probably an exaggeration. i really hope they make some seriously detailed announcements on what the exclusive dlc is and is not so people can make their decision before the release of gtaIV.

I don't see the episodes being more than about a dozen extra missions within Liberty City.

GTAIV DLC

  • When MS says exclusive, they mean that no other system can have DLC content for GTAIV
  • It will be bigger than a lot of people think.  GTA3 Vice City and San Andreas were basically expansions of GTA3.  Think of the DLC that way.  We are talking major expansion for GTAIV
  • No price has been discussed yet.  It’s up to Rockstar on whether or not they will charge for it
  • If successful, DLC may be the new way to deliver GTA expansions

I think 20% to 30% as large as GTA IV for $14.99 is about what I would expect.

Expecting them to basically double the size in a downloadable expansion, in just 6 months does not seem realistic.

How GTA3 was the main story, but San Andreas and Vice city were part of GTA3, but at different "episodes" within the time and at different locations.

So GTAIV is New York, GTAIV episode 1 would be DC or another city, but pretty much a whole new game entirely.
