Decent conference . The Witcher 3 was the star of the show for me. Scalebound looks interesting but I need more than a CGI trailer . Good stuff.

6/10 I thought they were suppose to go all out :S
Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
sundin13 said: Well, I personally give that conference an A-...it was presented nearly perfectly with a nonstop barrage of games. The problems were that far too many games showed CG instead of gameplay, which is fine, but it certainly holds back excitement. Also, while there were a few big new games, I don't know if there was really a Megaton... I am quite impressed with how MS handled their show and I hope the rest of the conferences keep it up. This could be a great year for gamers! |
My thoughts exactly. 8/10 for me. Solid all around but was missing a true megaton announcement.
It's all about the game.
overwhelming message in the conference?? Kinect is DEAD
Kratos said: I was able to catch the last half hour, and read up on what they showed. Kinda dissappointing. I miss the old E3 where it was surprise after surprise. I dont expect more from Sony either (unless they do show Last Guardian or Medievil 3). Hope nintendo is able to deliver. |
Me too, I think the door is wide open this year for Nintendo to shake things up in a big way before Sony and MS get some heavy hitters later in the generation
Kresnik said: Well, let me start with the good: I think the format they went with for this presentation was excellent. Absolutely outstanding, and made most previous E3 presentations look positively archaic by comparison. Excellent job on that. The bad: They didn't bring what they needed to bring. Not even slightly. Halo Collection would've been a pleasant surprise had it not been leaked like a month ago; the rest of the stuff was already announced. Otherwise, MS seem to be investing in niche exclusives. Crackdown sold on the back of being Halo 3 beta access. Phantom Dust was something I had never even heard of until a few weeks ago when it was brought up on these forums. Platinum Games are like the definition of a cult developer - dedicated fanbase, but inherently pretty small. I'd be interested to see how MS' advertising money leverages these games, but still. Pushing multi-plats isn't a bad idea. It worked for Sony. But Sony are likely to be able to leverage the performance of multi-plats going forward (an advantage 360 had over PS3). All in all, I enjoyed the conference. It was a good showing. But I was just expecting MS to laydown the gauntlet for Sony, and instead they just kinda put down a few pieces. |
Totally agree, sony has zero to worry about there. I was debating getting an X1 this fall..not a halo fan so there is nothing but multriplats and cgi for games in 2015, non looks like big IP;s
7/10 we got spoiled last few weeks with news

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
8/10 definitely. Very solid and a great showing of games. No megatons but i doubt we will see any this year.
If people are dissapointed with this i think you are in for a very bad E3...as i really doubt Sony/Ninty will match it.
Scalebound was the only real highlight for me. Otherwise pretty dissapointing in terms of new content. Especially from first party studios, and lack of actual gameplay footage (6.5/10) - point added for Hideki Kamiya and his game.
Wasn't BAD, but I was definitely expecting much more. The best MS conference out of the last 3, which is an improvement, but nothing really impressive, especially in terms of exclusive stuff. Was expecting some more Halo 5, new Gears, Quantum Break and something extra of that quality. Sony is surely capable of at least matching this.
I give a 7, don't want to be considered a hater :P
