But it's not Sam and Max.

According to IGN, NIntendo distributed a press release today which confirms that Telltale Games is working on a new episodic gaming series for WiiWare, Nintendo's original download service.

Our first thoughts (and probably most thoughts) were that Sam and Max would be coming to the service. But Telltale Games has confirmed that they are not working on Sam and Max for the Wii, but are bringing episodic gaming to the WiiWare service. So, which game are they planning on serialising? Well, once we know we'll report back.

It irritates me that episodic gaming has never been done in earnest. There is a lot of potential there for a long-lasting experience with costs spread over the long haul.
