or 2, if your X360 breaks twice... :D

honestly, what is cheaper/expensive. Depends on each persons buying habits.

As sales can be had for each. Sometimes PC games launch 10 dollars less than equivalent console games. Sometimes you can get 5 free games with 300 dollar videocard, etc. And console has PS+, and Xbox live.

By default almost every launched PC game is usually $10 cheaper.
However, if you shop around at the dozens of PC gaming stores, you are sure to get more taken off that.
More often than not Green man gaming has 20-30% discounts on unreleased games, so that's a good place to start. ;)

Essentially, if you ever pay full price for a PC game, then you're doing it wrong as a PC gamer.

pc master race dudes are those guys that win a shit ton of money streaming pc games/playing in gaming teams of lol/dota/starcraft etc , guys that are patrocinated by razer etc.

Its not some dude in his mother basement that spends 1000 dolars in some graphic card , picks 4 steam games that we will never finish just to take 2 or 3 pics to show how awsome the graphics are and try to make fun of console people.

I disagree.

The PC Master Race is called as such because it's a no-compromise gaming platform.
1) Best Graphics. - PC.
2) Best Sound. - PC.
3) Best Controls in terms of accuracy and responsiveness. - PC.
4) Largest Game Library. - PC.
5) Most flexible platform. - PC.

Other bonuses include: A more mature community, you do see less of the more high-pitched vocal young gamers that are often on consoles due to the costs of entry into the ecosystem, which is fantastic.

THAT is why it's called the "Gaming Master Race". - All other platforms you need to make concessions to play games.

That being said your OP is completely false. You can build a PC that can play every game with good settings for $1000. Factor in the insane Steam sales and its MUCH cheaper than console gaming.

Then in 2 years you can't.

A common misconception.  What, do you think consoles are the only devices that get updates?  All one needs to do is check Nvidia and AMD's driver notes to see the  routine performance improvements across numerous titles.  The idea that PC hardware is unsupported is a fallacy.

The PC is also on a massive quest of efficiency as of late with the latest low-level improvements coming to Direct X 12, free performance for all PC gamers!

My PC is almost 3 years old, even if I didn't upgrade my GPU's I could have still played everything at 1440P with ease, so that kind of blows away that 2-year misconception.
And yes, even though my PC is almost 3 years old, you still can't really buy much faster.

Can anyone say jealousy ? LOL

*It ain't our fault for wanting a better experience.*

Apparently we are the master nerd race, buy games not to play just show graphics, wont get any GOTY games, live in our parents basement, waste our money, have huge egos, etc.

I mean thats some awfully strong stereotyping there

Which is just strange given the vast, vast number of resolutiongate/framerategate threads made for console games.

I just finished helping my friend build his new gaming PC. He went for PC gaming because he can't afford console gaming. a moderate PC gaming machine is far less expensive an investment once you consider in game/subscription costs for many people, top that off with it has more practical uses, for that he gets access to a massive paid and free library of games unmatched by any console and saves a lot of money on his favourite pastime. The myth that PC gaming is more expensive is simply that. PC Gaming is about choice you can spend as little or as much as you like.

My PC craps on the PS4 and XBOne in terms of performance and it only cost me $650 (Canadian). That includes taxes, assembly, warranty as well as shipping and handling. You clearly don't know what you are talking about OP.

My PS4, and PS3 games collection craps on PC. Don't get me wrong, I game on PC too since I'm a huge MMO fan, but the console exclusives appeals to me a whole lot more at this juncture.

you don't need to be super rich to be in the PC master race. It is called an addiction. You skip meals, don't pay for publi transport etc.. just to save up to feed that addiction.

Also in general most people who can afford any form of gaming are probably in the top 20% rich people in their country, so in essence all gamers are rich to some degree. The 1% of that 20% is the billionaires and millionaires.

I see you have my post there. Take note that I put "These individuals" As in one or two people from a group, and not the entire community.

I won't label myself as a PC Master Nerd Race, because I don't go and say "PC Master Race" in forums, or on Youtube. It is those people that do those things are the nerds.

You shouldn't ever stereotype others.
Calling others "nerds" when you are on a forum dedicated to video games and video gaming hardware/peripherals/devices is where you ironically contradict yourself.

You're speaking out of context, and the thread topic is about the stereotype "pc master race"

I call these people nerds because they choose to stereotype others on youtube, facebook, and in other forums. If they can't take it, then they shouldn't dish it out.

I'm not speaking out of context, it's within the confounds of the discussion at hand.

I'm happily part of the "PC Gaming Master Race".
Would I classify myself as a nerd? Heck yes.
But, I work hard, I can then in turn spend money however I god damn desire.

I also enjoy motorcross riding, snowboarding, skateboarding, mountain bike riding and long walks on the beach which is mere meters from my front door, thus by extension I don't really fit into your generic and possibly oft-wrong pigeon hole.

However, I have to admit I do feel superior to console gamers in my no-compromise gaming platform, but that's just smugness on my behalf.
