I want Nintendo to leave wannabe gamers alone and concentrate on real gamers (people that play every kind of game no matter the genre no matter if grey or colorful)
Thats what I want. Dont focus on the so called "hardcore" gamers because the only place where those exist is in their own imagination.

Its mainstream games, "normal" games and niche games, Its hard and handholding games.
And all of them can be "casual" (played in short bursts) and also "hardcore" (need alot of practice to master) at the same time.

I want Nintendo to leave everything behind that the western gaming industry came up with because the western industry is based on greed.

That really doesn't make much sense. Obviously something like COD is based on greed, but lots of things aren't.

Either way, another person has read the title wrong, I'll change it so people know I'm talking about me.

Rofl are you telling me it was "Nintentacle" all the time?  oh lol
Why would anyone want you to leave? I mean you even acted completely polite even tho I misread the title alot of people would go all "are you dyslexic" mode. I want you to stay!

Back to the topic I made up myself (I hope you dont mind that I want to clarify how I see it. Last off-topic post xD)
DLC = greed
online pass = greed
not giving games the time they need = greed
singleplayer games with "online required" = greed
bringing out unfinished games as standard business practice (lets just fix it if enough people complain)= greed
removing  player hosted servers on purpose and forcing people to use official servers = greed (shut down the servers so people need to buy the next installment of the series)
online fees = greed (again there is no reason to remove player hosted servers for people that want to play with friends only other than  control over the players and money.)

This spread all over the world but most of it if not all began in the west (the japanese mentality is more pride/honor focused than the capitalistic western mentality. In Japan people give themselves salary cuts when they fuck up and here the idiots refuse to go and if they go they even get a huge bye-bye-payment as a "thanks".  But most of the time they stay and they fire the small workers instead the remaining workers have to do more work then)

Sry for misreading and going off-topic. :)

You have a good point, but I think those stuff really depend on the company itself and/or the situation they're in. Sony's a Japanese company yet they do some of those things, probably because they're loosing 1.1 billion dollars this fiscal year. If Nintendo's situation got bad enough, they would have no choice but to do some of those.

In the case of companies like EA and Activision, you're obviously right.

Only if you keep putting your non-gaming threads in the gaming section :|
