I just wanted to know what is the nature of this game: is it essentially a port of a full Final Fantasy game from the PS2. As in, does it have a full turn based battle system or something like that, as in, is like KH style or a proper RPG?

It's not a port, it's a spin off in the FF VII universe and I think it's a Kingdom Hearts style kind of RPG, not turn based....
