Simple: an in-progress game isn't good enough, so it gets canned and the people working on those projects are up to debate, so some have to go.

This is the reality of the world when your parent company is having financial troubles.

Interesting to read that these cuts are from the studios heads themselves, though obviously the pressure comes from above. I would guess that total studio budgets have been cut or that project expectations have been raised.

Sony is refocusing peeps. The console sells itself. No need to worry. M$ still needs to work really hard to catch up. Turn them frowns upside down

They fired people from Guerilla Cambridge, not Guerilla Games. GG is the one making the RPG. Killzone Shadow Fall was a big success so I doubt they would get fired...Killzone Mercenary on the other hand...yeah.
