Forums - Gaming - The industry wanted Wii to fail

@HappySqurriel

Thanks for advice happy. I have actually got 3 talented artist who are game, 1 sound guy, 2 programers including myself. we don't really plan to make big epic games stareght of the bat simply because we haven't got time and its not really in out interests yet. i played around with TGE, didn't really like it, so i am trying to build a simple game and just use that as a baisc engine, we have 2 games on paper and many more in mind. There is a 2d game, which will actaully form the basics of game play to the 3d game later down the road, you can say its like the pac man to Metal gear solid (for those who do not know, Hideo kojima stated that he got the idea of the sneaking in metal gear from pac man).

they basicly took the gamecube and added motion control to it. that's thinking like a third place company

 Wow you not even taking in the information and PROOF (being the word) that nintendo seeing that the wii was going to be  succesfull, instead you come back with like the most oldest and boring argument, so you know what lets not do this any more, we obviously don't see eye to eye.

it works,

good read. "I don't think the Revolution's [graphics] will be inferior in any fashion to Xbox 360 or PS3," said Iwata.

the truth is the wii is more successful than any of us thought it would be, either from the press to the fanboys and nitendo themselves. they cant even keep up up with demand.

 I lol'd when I heard it then, and I lol'd when I heard it now.

 All laughing aside, I am fully satisfied with the Wii's graphical capabilities thus far. I played SMG with component cables on my friends 42" HDTV and it was absolutely gorgeous.

 I did notice some light jaggies though. If they could up the AA just a smidge it would work wonders and SHOULD make those High-def whores shut up already. The GC had AA built in, so I doubt it would be a stretch for the Wii to up the ancy a bit.

By life end:

  • Wii- 100 million+
  • Xbox360- 35~40 million
  • PS3- 30 million
  • PSP- 30~32 million ------------- FAILURE
  • NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical)  - FAILURE
  • NDS- 100 million+ (Optimistic) -- Success!
