Honestly, I was pretty disrespectful the way people were taking sides without having any clue whatsoever about the situation beyond an unsubstantiated rumor. Ignorance is inevitable but that doesn't mean people need to show off that ignorance for the world to marvel at.

They don't have to tell us, the consumers, shit about what happens at their company.  They are setting the record straight that Neil and Bruce had nothing to do with Amy Hennig leaving.  That's all this is doing.  Nothing more.  

Feel free to point me to one single discussion on this forum about Amy Hennig's work, achievements or tallent prior to the news of her leaving naughty dog.

All this "she will be missed" bullshit is crazy, I'm willing to bet 95% of the people commenting on this news didn't have the foggiest clue who she actually was before the story broke, now you got people talking smack like they have followed her life works.

The point of the message , as stated, is to confirm that neither of the two falsely accused had anything to do with her firing. 
Why she left was never the issue in question. That's just something you wanted to know.
The only reason given wasn't "given" at all. It was a rumor. This is the closest to an official statement you'll get.

I knew of her through the documentary style videos that come along with naughty dog games and I presume that's how other people know of her too, even if they didn't explicitly comment on her on these forums. I was genuinely disappointed with the news of her depature.
