I know the questions themselves aren't fantastically worded, but if you have a couple of minutes to spare, it would be of huge help if you could answer a few questions about the (possible) North/South Divide in the UK and the reasons behind it - with relation to the Miners' Strike of the 1980s.

And so this thread stays afloat and actually has a discussion point: what are your opinions, UK or otherwise, on possible social and geographical divides in the UK? Is enough being done to help the situation, or is this a case of the free market working as it should? Is there actually a divide, or is it just an imaginary construct?
