So you have been developing an XB1 game? Interesting.

No... you sound like you never worked with GPUs and bandwidth on PC.

But of course... Xbone have a magical secret sauce that makes the impossible possible... I think you are reading so much mixterxmedia's blog.

Don't be naive, I'm not the one who is saying it's impossible to do something on a console, that's you.

Single player native 1080p, multiplayer is not. No biggie, just be straight next time.

Fine. I'm just sayin you can use this tech on Xbone for 1080p framebufer because the size of eSRAM... if you try to use the DDR3 you won't reach 60fps.

So why dudnt they just say this from the beginning all they had to say was sp is native 1080p multi is using this technique to oupt 1080p

Sounds really cool. I want more in-depth explanations like this from devs.

Why do people even care?

The game looks good and that is all that should matter.

I doubt anyone would really have minded if GG and Sony had been up front about this from the start.  Killzone Shadowfall is one of the best looking games this generation so far.  It's likely that Sony was behind this because they wanted to stress how important it was to have 1080p/60 to differentiate the PS4 from the XBox One as the more powerful machine.

If the internet teaches you anything, it is that the truth will come out in the end.  Much better to be honest, but it seems Sony never learns.  According to them we have been experiencing Pixar quality graphics on their machines since the PS2 era.

Now, instead of a game that should be applauded for it's graphical fidelity, there are criticisms about the resolution of the game, about the less than honest behaviour of GG and Sony, and the gaming press for not reporting this from the beginning.  Some peole who bought the game will feel, quite rightly, that they have been misled and XBox fans who have seen their machine of choice attacked repeatedly for displaying less than 1080p in many games look on this as karma.

This sounds like it being more taxing on the system than just going native 1080p

It's not. You don't do something that provides worse IQ and it's costlier at the same time.

That was actually a good and clear explanation.
