3d plat has mario games.2d has mostly indies but some aaa games.i picks 2d plats cus of excellent design.and 2.5 d fall in 2d

I'm not a huge fan of platformers in general, but I did enjoy the trine series quite a bit. I believe that was 2d.

3D Platformers, preferably 5th Gen style. Sadly those are being avoided like the plague since halfway through the 6th Gen, so today I'll take anything.

Depends really... For example
Mario Galaxy > Mario 64 > Mario World > 3d World > Mario Bros 3 > DKCTF and other dk >>2d marios>> 3d Land > Sunshine > new super mario bros 2 imo

So I guess 3d ones but it depends on the quality of the game

Good 3D platformers are better but exponentially less common. For every amazing 3D platformer, there are easily 10 great 2D platformers.

Mostly, skipped a few mario and dk ones here and there but the ones I named I definitely played

I find them more challenging.
