Where do you expect all these new buyers to come from? The console market is on the decline. Not dying but slowly declining. The reason PS4 and XB1 are off to fast starts is because of pent up demand from core fans after last generation lasted nearly twice as long as most. The casual market won't start buying new consoles for years after the prices come way down and the core market is only so big. I'm thinking 60-70 million for PS4 and 40-50 million for XB1 is what we will see.

This is another silly prediction by a Nintendo fan that is trying to emulate the silly predictions by some Nintendo fans made back in 2007 about Wii outselling PS2 and even surpassing 200 million. An unsubstantiated opinion. Someone just wants attention for when people look back in a few years time digging these old prediction threads.

For me, a "highly successful" Playstation console, based off of SONY's standards in the video game market, would be any system that cracks the 100 million mark.  PS4 might not reach PS2's historical acclaim, but it SURELY will be "highly successful"...
