Do you want to be part of the Master Race?

I already am part of the Master Race! 48 51.61%

Nope I like my dirty consoles. 43 46.24%

It is a well known fact that PC gamers are indeed the master race of the gaming world. From free internet service like Steam, to huge discounts on games and lots of emulators, mods and a big community, and an ample spectrum of controllers to choose from! Pc gaming is the way to go if you are a true gamer, or at least want to expand your social status from peasant to nobleman.

So I finally want to come out of the dirt. I want to experience the world of PC gaming and become part of the clean ones. Nintendo games don't cut it anymore... the Wii U drought is going to repeat itself so I will be stuck with Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze for about... 2 months. I really need to expand my gaming platforms.

So I have a disposable income of 200 dollars per month. Is it enough to get a good PC? How long will it take me to get one?

Depends on your standards.

For 200 you get a calculator
For 400 you get a bad gaming rig
For 600 you get an acceptable rig
For 800 you can get a pretty good rig.
For 1000 you will almost belong to the master race.
for 1200 and higher > welcome to the 4k master race.

Also the real master race has a PC and both consoles. So you'll need another $400 after that as well ;)

It depends what you want. But you can probably get a good PC for 700-800$.

I would like on that can run every next gen game if possible with everything maxed!

If you mean by "everything maxed" 1080p and above, high AA and 60FPS base then you are at >1000.

If you don't care about AA and 30 fps are enough then 600-800 would be possible.

It's going to be up to you on how much you want to spend but just know that the less you spend, the less "future proof" you're going to be. It also depends on if you're one of the "ultra high graphics" people or someone like me who is happy with medium settings.

I'd recommend $700-$800, which should make you happy for quite awhile. Get a good processor and it will last you a long time. If you get a medium level GPU, you might only have to change it once.

Places like this are good to look at configurations and to get an idea of what components you need. http://www.ibuypower.com/

so your looking as 1000+

If your just getting it for games, get a PS4 and save yourself a load of money, they wont be MAXED but they will still be better than any PC you would buy for $400
