I bought Bravely Default the other day and the game looks fine so far but the dub is spotty at best.  Especially Agnes who sounds like a guy trying to sound like a girl. I know this isn't a problem with american producers, our girls sound fine in everything, just japan.  

Now before you bring up the argument that Japanese developers would have to spend a tonne more importing voice talents, keep in mind that we have a crap tonne of anime being imported all the time.  Doesn't it stand to reason that there should be a japanese business out here with all sorts of vocal talents which they can outsource these games and anime to?  Theres enough material going from Japan to the US and the game is big enough, anime is big enough, so why not?

They ARE outsourcing localization. The problem is definitely not the Japanese producers. It's the fault of the foreign localizers. They try to sound like the Japanese voices which is absolutely stupid. Most Anime productions are doing the same shit.

The fault of the Japanese producers however is that they don't give us the option to go with Japanese voices(rare exceptions aside).
