The problem is that we're seeing several new threads on the subject every time a new game/statement is released that shows off the gap. I have no problem with comparisons, but they have become far too prevalent on this site as of late.
It's like titanfall downplaying/defence threads. Yeesh! Give it a rest, already.

PC offers the best graphics and experience, but the PS4 isn't half bad. I have two main gripes with it though:
First is the lack of customization on the main menu, I loved putting wallpapers on my PS3's menu, but the PS4 doesn't allow any of that.
Second is it's controller, seems like very minimal effort was put into it and offers nothing interesting. MS controller has awesome rumble triggers that add to the immersion, feeling it rumble when I got off road on Forza 5 made it feel like it does in real life. Nintendo's controller is awesome at getting rid of split-screen on Call of Duty and LEGO. Plus, it offers asymmetrical gameplay on games like ZombiU and Nintendoland. Dualshock 4's touchpad adds nothing whatsoever. Knack doesn't use it at all, ACIV Black Flag maps it as a map button. The only one that kinds uses it is KZ Shadowfall. It forces makes you to switch between four functions of your little robot pal by swiping in one of the four cardinal directions, essentially making it a D-pad. Why doesn't it just use the D-pad it already has? I know it already had a function in the game, but there's no reason you couldn't change the function when another button is held down, makes it feels forces. Not to mention the claims people have that the analog pads wear away after a couple of uses.
It's like 2nd grade again. "My dad can beat up your dad." Fanboys are a cancer.
I don't feel now is the rright time to give a definitive judgment. Too early in the generation while devs work out the kinks and find better ways to draw more power out of the consoles.
Give it a rest, sheesh.
All I know is, IF Sony/PS ever screw up, or are shown to be inferior to Xbox/MS and/or Nintendo, the backlash is going to be insane from the fanbases. And then if Sony comes back on top... the backlash will be even worse and this cycle of hate spewed backlash will continue until one is truly defeated!
Who will be the last man standing...?

That can't be too much of a problem because the threads don't last that long. I'm pretty sure the "extra" threads died out much quicker than the main ones.

I don't care so much about who provides the most powerful console. I care about the games. Quality, diversity, quantity - in that order. And as i've experienced in the past two decades, it is Sony who has the greatest potential. If Microsoft is able managing catching up i wouldn't mind buying a One. However, i honestly doubt they will.

No it doesn't. Not any more. There was a time when i enjoyed playing games on PC - playing PC-Games. I stress the term PC-Games. But now, with all this mini-game-BS, F2P and half assed console ports i'm pretty upset where PC-Gaming has gone. Anyone who claims it has the best gaming experience today has either nostalgia disorder or hasn't experienced the era when PC-Gaming was actually good.

So true. This porting from console to PC is not doing the PC any favours. But then again with multiplats, far more sales are generated on consoles than PCs so why not put the effort in where your coin is coming from?
PC game sales are pathetic compared to consoles. Why put all that work in for so little reward? Now with the XB1 and PS4 architecture it is looking like the PC will be getting the shabby ports.
