I don't have much for this update. Midterm exams last week and this week are keeping me away from much gaming. I am enjoying the game so far, it has an interesting cast of memorable villains, a good art style, and really solid and tight level design and controls.

I do appreciate the speed of the game too, the movement is fast and smooth and it keeps up with the pace. I feel like the combat has the potential to be pretty deep but I need to play around with it more. Hopefully I'll get a chance to play it more after my exams, but until then that's my thoughts.

Glad you're enjoying it. Good point about the villains, too. It feels like Drinkbox really tried to write the characters well. It isn't just an assortment of stereotypes. They have back stories and they're complicated.

Good luck with exams!

I really enjoyed the game on the Vita. Though I think it was a little harder to control than the ps3. So I did do some of the more difficult platforming sections on the ps3.
This was the first game that I really used the cross save feature for hope more games use it.

Have only played single player but I think I might need to play two player to beat it on hard. I got stuck on a boss on hard and then got into other games.

I love all the easter eggs in the game.

Haven't had much time to play it, but what I played was a lot more enjoyable than I was expecting. The fighting it varied and fun, and the writing is very well done. It reminds me a lot of Tomba! for the PS1, but on a slightly smaller scale. I'll try to play an hour of it each day this week to finish it before next Sunday.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Have this on Vita from Playstation Plus but never got round to playing it yet

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Sorry I wasnt able to join in on the sunday meet up my weekend was a tad bit hectic but I am here now so I will try and talk about my thoughts on this game the first thing i'd like to talk about is the art and graphics they were great I dont't think there was a single room in the game that wasnt a pleasure to look at or was a bore to see but I do have quite a few gripes with this game the only one Im gonna talk about right now though is the red skeletons seriously screw these guys whats wrong with them you may be asking? do they do a lot of damage? nope. are they hard to kill? not really. then whats wrong? The game just throws them at you en mass nearly every time you fight them I almost put down the game permanently when I walked into a room as a chicken and just saw the room packed full of those mofos... well thats about it for now gonna need a bit more time to figure out if I want to give this game a recomendation I'll more than likely find my answer on my second play through

No problem!

I hope the enemies don't turn out to be a deal breaker.

Let us know how you like the game as you delve deeper into it!

No problem. See you soon!

Some questions for today:

Is anyone going for/already achieved 100%? Running into anything particularly frustrating?

How do you guys think the game balances combat, exploration, and platforming? Is it successful on all counts?

What do you think of the game's philosophy on DLC?
