(unless I am misunderstanding what the OP means by "adaption" as so far people have been picking games that stemmed from film/tv but aren't based on a specific storyline)

The Simpsons Game was fantastic. Still gets play in my 360 from time to time.

Oh, and there was a time when Disney games were always great. Lion King and Aladdin (both versions) come to mind. Virgin knew what they were doing.
