Will Project Spark really enable an entire Xbox One and PC community (and Xbox 360 at some point) to become game makers? Will the free tools be robust and versatile enough?

The PC Windows 8 beta is under way - the Xbox One beta beta starts in February - and already the evidence is encouraging, because someone has managed to recreate the opening moments of Fable 1.

Impressed?

Project Spark will be available as a free download. And, like LittleBigPlanet, it comes stuffed toys and things to use in your games. Then you can share finished creations with the rest of the community.

Its full release is expected on Windows 8 and Xbox One later this year. It's unclear exactly what's happening on Xbox 360, although a version is planned.

Hmm you'd think this would stay on the front page considering how awesome this game is on a creative level. I'd say that is good news or us Xbox gamers. Silence of the critics speaks volumes.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I'd say it's better news for PC gamers, we are the ones who will get the most out of this :D (LBP would have been so much greater with a mouse >.<)

I am really looking forward to this. I enjoyed LBP to a certain extent but this really looks like it is bringing a whole new level.

I am really impressed. I will get this. If they allow the creators to sell their creations then I am ready to purchase premium edition (if its got any).

I think those who will use both the pc and one will get the most since with the one u can do mocap which i dont think u can do with the other verisons

Even X1 will have its uses with Kinect allowing motion capture and voice recordings for characters.
