for the cheaper ones maybe, always found the obsidian cases were petty good for it, the 900D especially so.
Going big because i want it to be as quiet as possible!, so huge fans but slow rotation, lots of air movement and hopefully as little vibration as possible.

Also, this power supply is freaking awesome.

If you want a quiet case, why not going with a silent case? You know, like a Factal XL?

Or you don't like the fridge look?

the Fractal XL doesnt have anywhere near enough space in it, When all is said and done this rig will be running 3x 780ti, 1x Tesla K20X the 1200 watt psu, an internal UPS and 8 mechanical hdds, two ssd and a full 4 card, cpu and northbridge water cooling setup.

So size is also matters. There are very few cases bigger than the 900D.

if I want to upgrade soon, which route is better:

get a gtx 880 when its out?
get the 780ti
What do you guys think. is SLI any good?

^trixiemafia86: First, I'd ask myself, do I really need to upgrade?

If your answer is yes and as soon as possible, getting a second 680 will be cheaper and will allow you to save some cash for the launch of the 880.

If your answer is yes but not immediatly, then wait for the 880.

Maybe you should wait until you have more answers... just in case.

Do you run games higher than 1080p?

Yes? - get second 680

No - stick with one 680 till 8xx launch makes 780/780ti drop in price, or till you can buy an 880
