Austin, Texas-based Bluepoint Games is creating the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall, Xbox One's most anticipated title at the time of writing. Not familiar with Bluepoint? They're the outfit behind the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, the PS4 version of Flower and the PS Vita version of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Port specialists, in other words.
The news comes care of Respawn boss Vince Zampella. "The 360 version is being done by the amazing team at Bluepoint Games," he tweeted last night. The extent of Bluepoint's input on the actual design of Titanfall isn't clear, but it's unlikely to have much say on the fundamentals - this is very firmly Respawn's baby.
Zampella also confirmed the impending launch of the PC and Xbox One beta, promising more details "in the coming days". There's no word of an Xbox 360 beta at this time, you'll be disappointed to hear.
According to rumours, the Titanfall beta begins on Valentine's Day, 14th February. Seems legit - punching Transformers in the groin goes hand in hand with expressing your love for another human being. The game itself launches in North America on 11th March, Europe on 13th March and in the UK on 14th March.
