Forums - PC - To all the computer experts out there, please help me decide...

Which laptop to get.

So I've been fishing around for a new laptop since my old one  is on the verge of giving up on me. I've looked around quite a bit and I've narrowed my choices between these three:

I've a very general idea of specs, but I'm no expert. So I was hoping some of you guys could tell me which one would be the better option as they're all the same price. I'm not too bothered about gaming on the laptop as I have consoles to do so, but what I am hoping for is a decent screen and sound system as the laptop will be my entertainment system. I'm also a student, so I don't have endless cash to throw around. These ones fit my budget range, so if you know of any other better laptop for a similar price, you can point them out as well.

I really would like to get some opinions before plunging the cash.

I'd buy the MSI.

ASUS is arguably the best company in that group, but MSI is not bad at all and has the best specs.

You think so? I was personally looking at the ASUS one myself because I read good reviews on the 1080p screen being very nice, but MSI does look pretty good as well. I've been hearing good things about the Haswell i7 processors.

Yep, that's what I'd get and Haswell is a great processor.

Check out the Asus n56jr-eh71, it retails for 1000 (U.S.), and has a full touch hd screen, nvidia gtx 760m graphics, and a really good sound system.

Darn that looked real good, but it hasn't released in Europe it seems.

I know you said you do most of your gaming on console, but u could also check out the Lenovo y510p. It comes with an i7, a cache ssd, TWO nvidia gt750m sli, and a tb hardrive. It normally sells for roughly 1000 usd.

That's interesting, but most of the models I'm finding in my region aren't even full 1080p. Although I gotta say, that cpu+gpu setup is intense. Some of those benchmarks are truly amazing. This laptop is running a lot of latest games at Ultra with 30+ FPS and High with easy 60+. This is making it difficult for me to decide.

Ive had an asus before so I trust them

Ive also had an acer before and it died in 2 months do not trust them.

I have a graphics card from MSI that works even after years of use.

so either Asus or MSI
I didnt look at specs.
