Forums - Gaming - Most Awarded Video Game in History: The Last of Us

A friend of mine said this game "touched him" and "changed his life". He was gonna loan me his PS3 and TLoU (he owes me money) but I said no thanks. Now I regret it.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I still consider MGS4 to be one of the best games of last gen, it's 4th after demon souls, dark souls, TLOU :)

I cried like a little girl at the end of MGS4 :P

Yes, but you have to admit, MGS4's popularity is nowhere NEAR to that one back in 2008.

Oh, and I cried as well xD

Oh yeh no way near but the people who were truly moved by it will remember it. It was my fav until those 3 other games came out and left more of an impression on me.

Well deserved.

You're doing better ;) Unlike some!

The game is amazing. It's game of the generation for most who had a PS3, not talking about the trolls who say they own one.

We could argue it didn't have as much competition

edit: i mean bioshock is released to early in 2013

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Doesn't really say much. 90% of those are new sites that weren't around for gaming in the 80s and 90s. Greatest impact on gaming? Maybe if you are new to gaming.

Why do people use the term overrated when talking about an average score or award given by a community of people? A rating is an opinion given by someone and then translated into an award or score. If the general consensus is that this game is deserving of its score/award then it is literally impossible for said product to be overrated.

But at the same time some people might not know exactly what overrated means and might just use that word to state their opinion. Now you know.

Edit - As for the biggest impact in gaming comments, I think they meant for the people who are new to gaming or haven't been gaming that long. In no way is TLoU the biggest impact in gaming history, not even top 10.

You could, but you'd be wrong. There is a reason why most games release in November and not during the summer draught.

This game has performerd magnificently in both sales and critical acclaim.

Theirs 80 million PS3's ...The game just broke 4 million. It's not "game of the generation for most who had a PS3" Highly overated game , good game but not great and diffently not game of any generation.

99% of the Goty winners are released in the sept-okt-nov-dec, thus you can conclude games released outside the this period have a disadvantage in these awards

Excellent! The last of us is awesome.
