the battery aspect was a bonus i really was trying to get rid of the light as in my setup i can see the light on the tv screen, the biggest downfall to plasma is its very reflective. The blue light annoyed the hell out of me when games went to a dark situation breaking any immersion one would have when seeing the blue light reflecting back and having a hard time seeing into the shadows in the games. just turned out that the blue light being turned off gave more battery life. as for those that are skeptical i turned off the power save feature on my ps4 for both the system and the controllers, turned on both controllers one modded and one not, waited till the unmodded one turned off with no battery and then picked up the modded one and it still had life in in it, enough to play about hour and a half worth of Madden 25. i ended up getting 7 hours off the normal one and 8.5 off the one without light. this was off full charge for both controllers.
again my main reason was to turn the light off for my glare on the tv battery is just a added plus.
