"Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has quizzed a number of Japanese developers and have asked them for some key phrases and resolutions for 2014. The publication quizzed Platinum Games designer Hideki Kamiya who said that 2014 will be the year where a new project, presumably Bayonetta 2, will fully be set in motion.

“There’s a lot I hold dear in making games, but I think for developers, having fun is most important. The atmosphere of the workplace shows clearly in a game’s quality, so I want to treasure a team atmosphere where each member can have fun developing games. Also, 2014 will be the year where a new project will fully be set in motion. I want to boldly and happily walk that path without fear of failure”"

Curious... but will it be Nintendo related? I hope so.

Wait, what? Are they really asserting that Bayonetta 2 wasn't set in motion already?

Anyway, my prediction is that Kamiya will be working on a Nintendo franchise, if only because Wonderful 101 was meant to use Nintendo characters originally, so there's probably still a desire within Nintendo for Platinum to make something with Nintendo IP. But despite him talking about wanting to do a Star Fox game, I suspect that such a game is already well into development elsewhere...

I think Battalion Wars would be a good fit. Something that he could take and turn into a much bigger franchise, putting his own spin on it, while possibly also reusing the base engine of Wonderful 101.

Vanquish 2 would be awesome.

I think he`s speaking of a new game. With W101 released and B2 getting released this year, my guess is they will start working on a new project.

Wouldn`t mind seeing it coming to Wii U. Be it Starfox or... Starfox... ;P

Well if its starting in 2014, its gonna be a long time before we find out what it is :(
