Forums - Gaming - Who doesn't like handheld systems and why?

I've tried to get into handheld systems in the past and I just can't do it. I briefly had a psp back in the day and I just could'nt get into the system. I currently have a 3DS and I just can't seem to get into it. I got one when they first came out and I only played it a handful of times. It's just sitting there collecting dust. It's a perfectly good gaming handheld, but I just can't get into it. I guess,I just prefer playing games on my T.V. So,is anybody else like this? Just wondering.

I agree. Every three months or so, I wipe the dust off my PSP and power it on just to make sure it still works. I tried getting into it when I hooked it up to my TV, and I played it quite a bit for a while. When I got a new apartment and furniture however, it wasn't practical or comfortable to sit close enough to my TV to enjoy it. I've been itching to get a 3DS XL and Vita, but I just can't imagine myself sitting on my couch staring at a little screen like that.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

1. Handheld games arent must have portable gadjats anymore. You guys can blame smartphones. But this is the truth.
2. Apart from a few most handheld games quality are poor and compared to free or $0.99 games on smartphones the difference is negligible.
3. When it comes to killing time outside I would rather take angry birds instead of a handheld game.
