Forums - Microsoft - Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Now Available

Major Nelson just announced that Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is available for the Xbox One.

I'm really looking forward to this game, but I won't have an Xbox One for a while. It's supposed to come out for the 360. Does anyone know when?

And what's with the $15 price tag. That's way cheap. Is it a shorter game on par with Xbox Live Arcade titles like Braid and Limbo?

If anyone's played it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It's like an XBLA title.

I'm surprised because everything I've see of it looked like a full-fledged action adventure game.

...not sure if serious.

OK. Maybe I pinned the genre wrong. More like Limbo or Braid and adventure game with lots of puzzles to progress. Adventure-puzzler???

Been playing the game all morning on my friend's x1.
Game is pretty brilliant. Visuals are pixar-like, tons of action and set-pieces, and the story is pretty sweet to see unfold.

Honestly, so far, I'd give it a great 4.5/5.

Wow that video looks awesome. I had no idea they incorporated so many Scribblenauts-type drawing stuff though. A benefit of bundled Kinect I guess.

Its not a kinect utilized game at all. Its like a more vibrant Limbo with pen powers though. Been playing for about 3 hours and it is truly a masterpiece.

Here's one of my clips of some trial and error platforming.

We have been talking about it in here all morning http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=164905&page=1#

Anyways the game is spectacular so far from what i have played. Very charming, beautiful, similar to Limbo (They are actually close with the limbo devs), and the magic marker makes for some great puzzles, both action oriented and thinking.

Overall a very refreshing game and Im glad they, a creative studio signed with Microsoft as a first party so they can now have the budget to continue this type of brilliance. Compare this to Max: The Magic Marker and it is night and day.

If you cant tell, im very pleased with this game so far :D
