I just beat gtav a few days ago. I picked the deathwish ending and thought it was really good and I liked how they tied everything together. That got me thinking,what are some other great video game endings in video games? 

Mass Effect 3, pure awesome.

Super Paper Mario's ending made me cry

Super Metroid, Castlevania: SoTN, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, MGS3 and 4.

I remember that castlevania game. that's the only castlevania game I ever played. It's one of my all time favorite games. 

There's so many good ones. When I was a kid Shadow of the Colossus' ending made me feel like shit for weeks (so damn brutal).

Red Dead Redemption. It had a good sense of resolution - everything came full circle.

The Last of Us. Also made me feel like shit for weeks - just as brutal as Shadow of the Colossus.

Suikoden 3 broke my heart. It was beautiful but left me fighting tears.

ICO had me sitting there stunned for several minutes. I kept running over possibilities in my mind, trying to imagine what came next. It was all I could think about for quite awhile.

Fallout 3 had an awesome ending--though I'm very glad Broken Steel came along.
