How remarkable it is that the only people shitting on Jonathan Blow in this here thread are the usual ones who always favour and praise the XBox and MS.

Yeah. OK so it wasnt your traditional Indie developer. But It showed the indies how to make a proper Arcade title. Not the tosh I wasted some money on last gen. Its still in the same bracket as the indie games. I dont give lesser Indie devs a free pass becuase they arent called Epic. If they cant make games they can get out. |
Agreed. Many of my absolute favorite games of the 7th gen were indie games and Shadow Complex was the first one (that I'm aware of) that showed that XBLA games didn't have to be stripped down puzzle games or arcade ports. I don't care who makes a good game as long as I get to play it!

And...?
He's a douche, people don't have to prefer a certain brand to spot the likes of him. And he's been hating on MS since early days.
Here is what he had to say bout Halo 3:
"If games are to become more than mere entertainment, they will need to use the fundamentals of gameplay — giving players challenges to work through and choices to make — in entirely new ways. The formula followed by virtually all games is a steady progression toward victory: you accomplish tasks until you win. Halo 3, for all its flawless polish, does not aspire to anything more. It does not succeed as a work of art because it does not even try."
He is a charlatan and you're just defending him because of your common hatred.

Describing the sexual preferences of MS employees who like to give anal to little unsuspecting lambs.

He's a charlatan for not seeing things the way you do, of course. And indeed, you're the one better placed around here to judge his position. After all, you're an industry insider, right? He's not the only one who was displeased with MS's policies and their ways of handling indie devs. MS even changed their policies with the XBO. If he's such a charlatan, and everyone who complained about MS's policies are nothing more than douches and whiny bastards, then why would MS make those changes?
And I have hatred for... what, exactly? Seriously, the stupid things you say. -__-

There are some indies that like to work with MS, though.

Yeah, so?
Even bullies have friends. That doesn't mean the ones they bully don't have a reason to despise them. ¬_¬

Stupidest things I say, can't compare to your silliness.
He's full of himself like others have pointed out. If you identify with his ideologies and opinions good for you.
