Borderlands 2 now free for PlayStation Plus members

Pick up a copy of Gearbox Software's 2012 hit shooter now for PlayStation 3.

Gearbox Software's 2012 acclaimed shoot-and-loot game Borderlands 2 is now free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, Sony has announced. The game is available today from the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation 3, but not PlayStation 4.

PlayStation Plus is Sony's subscription service for accessing a library of free and discounted games each month. The service is $9/month or $50 for the year, and one membership works across PS3, PS4, and PlayStation Vita.

This week also marks Week Two of the PlayStation Store Holiday Sale. Various digital games are on sale (with even greater discounts for PS Plus subscribers), including the Tomb Raider Bundle ($15), MLB 13 The Show ($20), and NHL 14 ($30).

Time is also running out for PS Plus subscribers to get Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball (PS3 and PlayStation Vita) for free, as the downloadable game leaves the Instant Game Collection on December 17.

Now this is how you do a free game(s) service!  Awesome news for PS+ members. Get downloading folks!

Trade it in and get a couple dollars towards your next purchase and just play this digital copy. That's what I did for Dragons Dogma.

Never got into the Borderlands series but I guess now would be a perfect time to try it out.

Also just picked up Spelunky because it was for a ridiculously good price and cross buy.

Hi, I downloaded the game, and before i started to play I bought the season pass. I downloaded all content for the season pass and installed them. 2 hours in the game,I saw a fast travel station, I can see the dlc places but I cant travel to them, it says I have to purhase the content which I already have :/ help please

If you log into your PSN on that site and post your question you'll likely get a response or at least they can forward your concern. Hope it turns out alright.

! have a feeling there will be a big game released on PS+ towards the end of this month because unlike other months they didn't announce all the games we would be getting for free at the beginning of the month also its December and its holiday time.
