I own both. Got the 3DS whenever Ocarina of Time 3D released. Got the Vita on day one.
On hardware, the Vita destroys the 3DS but, for me, the 3DS just eats up more of my time. I won't give either a score out of 100, though.

Got the og 3DS around May 2011, XL at the same time in 2012. and the Vita this year (hooray for Christmas presents).
I absolutely adore my 3DS, it is seriously a "must have" console.
The Vita will be a great addition to it.

I´ll force myself to buy that one.
I bought it last year and i rate 95/100 because of high price memory cards, other than that i enjoyed my gaming like never before.
So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.
PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.
Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.
Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
3DS I got it in August 2011 (a few months after release) and I would rate it a good 85
PSVita I got on launch day and I need to play it more so ill rate it a 70

Yer they hurt, but i know I wouldn't be happy with 16gb so i didnt think over it too much.
wow I never looked before at VITA game prices, but here they are cheaper retail then 3DS by like $10-$20 AUD.

Nice, I bought nothing =( aside from that Batman Collectors Edition which immediately sold out nothing really was more than a 10-20% saving at best
