Mine is up but I can't purchase anything. Seems to be a problem. Other people have mentioned this.
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

They are most likely just prepping the online servers (PSN) because of the new wave of console owners in EU. You know the estimated 1 million+ new owners in EU. Give them a day, or less and it will all be running. Unfortunately sometimes it's to hard to predict how a network reacts until it gets hit, and last night for their EU servers is the first time they get to sample that.
But why would a EU launch affect US servers.

NA servers work plenty fine for me actually.

Not for me. The store would die. Right now redeeming codes won't work.

They have taken the redeeming cards section offline. I'm in the same boat.

It doesn't exist in my transaction history. Nor did it activate. And when I go to the PS4 store to try redeeming it again, I got it through amazon.com. It backs me out to the main menu. When I try it on my PS3. It throws up error codes. I'm basically waiting till tomorrow. If it doesn't work till then, I have to call costumer service. |
Redeeming cards is offline, it is the same for everybody. I guess we'll have to wait for this day to pass.

Xbox One had just as many people connecting at once, but didn't have one single server issue and when you think about just how much these new consoles rely on the internet to function properly? Something like online stability becomes much more important imo. |
Umm no. X1 cloud servers and xbox live went down and there were issues for hours on launch day. Your post is silly, how often do 1 + million new customers sign into a network?? It has never happened before . What do you expect? MS and Sony to spend millions on servers for 1-2 days, that they will never need again? You are being foolish, over what will be all long and forgotten by tomorrow. People are too entitled these days.

Thats actually incorrect. Live was up and down for a few hours max. And it was only down for a few minutes at a time.
Ot.
I hope this is resolved soon. So you can enjoy your new console guys. Next gen is awesome.

Umm you just proved I was correct, and no, their entire Azure cliud went down. I know many who could not connect barely at all the entire day.
