I don't really understand this thread. You can't really gauge the "goodness" of a gen just based on what the consoles are. It's all about the games. The amount of assumptions being made here is crazy.

Ah, then I'd say then gen is great by virtue of the 3DS having the best handheld game library I've seen since the GameBoy.
