Forums - Gaming - Xbox One game cases hide resolution list

Recently I am seeing everyone is saying all Xbox One game has no resolution mentioned in the game case. Is it true? Lock if old topic.

Let's say that they didn't. I just grabbed the closest game to me and looked at the case. It's Tomb Raider for Xbox 360. On the back, it says 1080p, 1080i, 720p.

Even if the game has the resolution on the box, it won't have the native resolution.

Yep , no resolution on back of case. But like D21lewis said, it wouldn't show native resoltion anyway.

There is barely any room to put specs on the back covers anymore. They use real Blu-ray type boxes and covers and like d21lewis said, they wouldn't show native res anyways.

So its true. Some of my twitter buddies and angry joe (in his Xbox One unboxing) mentioned the same thing. Damn.

Do the PS4 game boxes show it?

Ya they do.

What does it change? Do people really buy a game based on the fact that the resolution is written on the back of the box? Do games sell better that way?

Don't think so, the res thing is a nerd topic that most people never really think about. I never heard the term "native res" before I joined this forum. (I joined for sales talk, not res talk)
