Passwords must be changed periodically. If not changed at least once in 2 years, SEN does it for you.

How thoughtful of them. I nearly had a heart attack

yea same here, especially because their password recovery mail was eaten by my spam filter - good thing I thought of that ~2 days after I noticed that I couldn't log into psn anymore

Wait, is that true? Because if true we must've heard lots of complaints about people not being able to login with their old passwords everyday.

Im on PSN since 2008 and I only had to change it once and thats because it was related to the recent issue which apparently affected some users, not because I hadnt changed it in 2 years.

Yes. I think a lot of people know this already, which is why there doesn't seem to be much complaining about it on the interwebs :P

They don't change it. They just disable your older one. I never got an email about it. My bank does not do this as well. Is there someone else who knows what i'm talking about? Maybe someone not in the EU, as i am in the EU and all the one reporting this thus far, have been as well.

So how does this work exactly? You randomly just cant login after 2 years and MUST password reset? Doesnt make much sense. I follow PS news really close and never heard of this. The recent issue prompted some people asking whether their account was hacked, if it happened for every PSN user many more would be wondering whether their account was hacked.
