It’s not all about PS4 this Christmas for Sony, with the firm throwing £2.5m behind Vita, too.

The company is putting together PS4 and Vita into an ‘Ultimate Bundle’, which will launch before Christmas. Gamers that own both consoles can stream their PS4 games to their Vita and play off-screen, which Sony views as a big selling-point for the handheld.

The company is also running a £2.5m TV campaign for Vita. Entitled ‘The Best Way to Play’ the ad will promote both Vita’s connectivity with PS4 and its big Q4 exclusive, Tearaway.

“We’re really excited for Vita as we move into Christmas,” said senior product manager Ben Law.

“We’ve got a great campaign with key messaging around new releases like Tearaway, the ever-growing game catalogue and the Remote Play service.”

The PS4 has given me a chance to use my Vita to play PS4 while i'm on the toilet.

Huh? Why is it a budget price point a bad thing? You enjoy being ripped off? The game was made in what? A year? By 15ish people... It's fairly short, no matter how charming it is.

Given how few people made it, it probably cost absolute peanuts (relatively) to develop and that price and with the reviews it's got, it's the ultimate impulse purchase for existing owners and allows it to be bundled very cheaply (LBP+Tearaway+16GB card in UK all for £169.99)

As for the PS4 bundle, it begins... 

Seriously, if Sony play their cards right they could make a success of vita without comprimising focus on PS4 and without spending all that much in the grand scheme of things - a fairly impressive achievement if they can pull it off

This may also turn out to be yet another demonstration of how epiclly SCEA have failed to push vita if SCEE manage to do this successfully - of all the places vita needs help, it's NA
